Overview

3-port USB socket: 45W USB-C PD + QC 3.0

Three fast-charging ports in one standard-size socket: two USB-C Power Delivery ports with up to 45 W, and a Quick Charge 3.0 USB-A port with up to 36 W. Enough to fast charge phones, run a tablet and top up a small USB-C laptop, from any 12V or 24V system. It fits the same 29.2 mm hole as a standard USB socket and works down to -40°C.

At 45 W the USB-C output charges an iPad Pro, a Nintendo Switch, most phones at full speed, and many small USB-C laptops and ultrabooks. Each device negotiates its own voltage, from 5V up to 20V, so it is safe for older USB devices too.

A single USB-C port delivers up to 45 W. When both USB-C ports are in use, the power is shared between them.

Built for the cold and the heat

✓Working temperature -40°C to +60°C: keeps charging on frosty alpine mornings and in hot canopies
✓Input up to 32V: handles the charging voltage of 24V trucks and buses
✓Hinged weather cap: keeps dust and water out of the ports when not in use

Fitting

✓Hole size: cut a round hole of at least 29.2 mm (a 30 mm hole saw works) in any panel, dash, battery box or canopy wall
✓Space behind the panel: allow about 62 mm for the body and terminals, plus room for the wires
✓Mounting: push the socket through from the front and tighten the threaded retaining nut from behind
✓Wiring: push-on spade terminals marked + and −. Run the positive through an inline fuse close to the battery
✓Suggested fuse: 10A on the positive feed
✓Terminals: push-on spade terminals marked + and −
