Overview
Mini UHF radio in camo green
A single UH45CG Max walkie talkie in camouflage green, with 80 UHF CB channels, Kid-Zone Plus and USB-C charging. Ideal for a solo adventurer or as an extra radio for an existing set.
It clips on a belt or hangs from the lanyard, and the built-in LED torch helps around camp after dark. Run it on 3 x AAA batteries for up to 20+ hours, or fit NiMH rechargeables and charge over USB-C. Pair it with the grey UH45 Max or a UH45-2 Max Twin Pack.

Built-in torch
Light the way back to camp
The LED sits in the top of the radio and switches on with a long press of the torch key. It works even when the radio is off, so you always have a small light on hand at night.
- ✓LED torch built in
- ✓Works with the radio off
- ✓Power save sleeps the screen
Kid-Zone Plus
A private line for the family
Kid-Zone Plus locks the radio to CTCSS code 10 and voice Scramble 2, so the kids hear the family and not strangers on the channel. Turn it off when you want to scan channels or use your own CTCSS code.
- ✓On by default
- ✓Blocks unwanted conversations
- ✓Voice scramble for privacy
On the move
Small enough to take everywhere
Clip it to a belt or pack strap, or hang it from the lanyard. VOX lets you talk without pressing the button, and channel scan finds who's talking nearby. The accessory jack takes an earpiece or speaker mic.
- ✓Belt clip and lanyard included
- ✓VOX hands-free talk
- ✓Earpiece or speaker mic jack

Frequently asked questions
How far will they reach?
Uniden quotes a typical range of 3+km, line of sight. Hills, trees and buildings cut that down. In duplex mode the radios can talk through a UHF CB repeater for more distance, depending on where the repeater is and the terrain.
What batteries do they use?
Each radio takes 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included. Use standard alkaline or NiMH rechargeables. The USB-C cable only charges NiMH rechargeables, and you need a USB wall adaptor (not included). Charge new rechargeables for 6 to 7 hours before first use.
How does Kid-Zone Plus work?
Press the KID-Z key and the radio locks to CTCSS code 10 and voice Scramble 2. Radios set the same way hear each other, and other users on the channel are blocked out. It's on by default.
Will it talk to my other UHF CB radios?
Yes, it uses the standard 80 UHF CB channels. With Kid-Zone Plus on it only hears radios set to CTCSS 10 and Scramble 2, so turn Kid-Zone off to talk to other radios on an open channel. It pairs easily with a UH45-2 Max Twin Pack.
Are they waterproof?
No. Uniden says not to expose the UH45 Max to rain or moisture.
