Frequently asked questions
What is in the Tradies Pack?
Two UH825 radios with batteries, antennas and belt clips, a dual drop-in charge cradle, AC adaptor, cig-lead adaptor, USB-C cable, two earpiece mics, two speaker mics and a hard carry case.
How far will it reach?
Uniden quotes up to 13km, typical line of sight. Terrain and buildings cut that down. Duplex mode lets you work through a UHF CB repeater for more range, depending on where the repeater is.
Can I charge them in the vehicle?
Yes. The dual cradle runs from the included DC cig-lead adaptor as well as the AC adaptor. Each radio also charges by USB-C.
Is it waterproof?
No. Uniden's manual says not to expose the UH825 to rain or moisture. For wet work, look at the splashproof UH755.
Do I need a licence?
Uniden's manual says CB radio in Australia is licensed under the ACMA Radiocommunications (Citizen Band Radio Stations) Class Licence, and use is subject to its conditions.
