Overview
UHF CB with twin heavy duty whips
The XTRAK 80 in-vehicle UHF CB with the ATX970 Twin heavy duty radome antenna. A 6.6 dBi and a 3.0 dBi whip cover open country and tight tracks.
The OLED display and controls sit on the remote speaker mic, and the compact base unit hides away. Instant Replay plays back up to 6 minutes of calls you missed, and it runs on 12V or 24V. For a handheld at camp, add an XTRAK 50.

The whole radio sits in your hand
The XTRAK 80 puts the screen and controls on the remote speaker mic, so the compact base unit can hide under a seat or behind the dash. The large anti-glare OLED display has a dimmer for night driving, and the 2W speaker in the mic keeps voices clear over road noise.

Two whips
Two heavy duty whips in the pack
The ATX970 Twin heavy duty radome antenna comes with a 6.6 dBi whip and a 3.0 dBi whip, both ground independent. Use the taller high gain whip for flat open country and the shorter whip when you're on tracks or in hilly ground. It has a heavy duty barrel style stainless steel spring and comes with low loss coax and an FME connector with PL259 adaptor.

Channels
Stay on air when channels get busy
Master Scan keeps a group talking on busy channels. Every radio in the group scans the same channels with the same CTCSS or DCS code, and when another user jumps on, the radio moves to a clear group channel. You also get Open and Group Scan with Priority Watch, 50 CTCSS and 104 DCS codes, and 100 extra receive channels you can program from 400 to 520MHz.

Frequently asked questions
Which whip should I use?
The 6.6 dBi whip is the taller, higher gain option for flat, open country. The 3.0 dBi whip is shorter and suits tracks, towns and hilly ground. Both are ground independent.
Do I need a licence to use it?
UHF CB in Australia is covered by the ACMA Citizen Band Radio Stations Class Licence, and you must follow the conditions in that licence. Uniden notes the radio must only be used in the country of purchase.
Can I talk on all 80 channels?
Most of them. Channels 22 and 23 are for data only, so voice transmission is blocked, and channels 61, 62 and 63 are reserved for future use and are receive only. Channels 5 and 35 are emergency channels.
Will it work in my truck?
Yes. It runs on 12V or 24V DC and accepts 10.2V to 28.8V, so it suits cars, 4WDs, caravans and trucks. It alerts you if the supply goes too high or too low.
What warranty does it have?
Uniden covers the radio for 5 years and the included accessories for 1 year, for products bought in Australia or New Zealand.
