Overview
Smart UHF CB with a two-whip antenna
The XTRAK 80 Pro in-vehicle UHF CB with the AT970BK Twin fibreglass antenna. Bluetooth location sharing plus a long and a short whip to suit the road you're on.
The XTRAK 80 Pro pairs with the free XTRAK Pro App to share location, manage settings and find repeaters, and its OLED display sits on the mic. The AT970BK Twin gives you a 1200mm 6.6 dBi whip and a 725mm 3.0 dBi whip on one stainless steel spring. Add an XTRAK 50 Pro handheld to share location on foot.

Bluetooth app
See where the rest of the group is
Pair your phone with the free XTRAK Pro App and the radio shares your location with other XTRAK Pro radios, including the XTRAK 50 Pro handheld, even without mobile phone service. The radios need to be within UHF CB range of each other. The app also lets you change radio settings, manage Selcall contacts and extra receive channels, find repeaters and send short text messages.
- ✓Location sharing without phone service
- ✓Repeater Find and text messages
- ✓Radio software updates by app
Two whips
Long whip for open roads, short for tracks
The AT970BK Twin gives you two removable fibreglass whips on one base. Run the 1200mm 6.6 dBi whip on open highways and flat country, and fit the 725mm 3.0 dBi whip for tracks and hilly ground. Both use the heavy duty stainless steel spring, 4.5m of low loss coax and an FME connector with PL259 adaptor.
- ✓6.6 dBi whip, 1200mm
- ✓3.0 dBi whip, 725mm
- ✓4.5m coax with PL259 adaptor
In the cab
The whole radio sits in your hand
The XTRAK 80 Pro puts the screen and controls on the remote speaker mic, so the compact base unit can hide under a seat or behind the dash. The large anti-glare OLED display has a dimmer for night driving, and the 2W speaker in the mic keeps voices clear over road noise.
- ✓Anti-glare OLED display with dimmer
- ✓2W speaker in the mic
- ✓Base unit only 24.8mm high
Fitting
Magnetic mic mount, no hook
The magnetic mic mount sticks to the dash with its adhesive pad, and the mic snaps onto it without fiddling with a hanger hook. The base unit fits with the quick release bracket or the gimbal bracket, and the 2m extension cable lets you put it where it suits. It runs on 12V or 24V, so it suits cars, 4WDs and trucks.
- ✓Magnetic mic mount in the box
- ✓Quick release and gimbal brackets
- ✓12V or 24V power
Instant Replay
Missed a call? Play it back
The radio records what it receives, in normal channel mode and while scanning. Press the red REPLAY key to hear the last message again, and skip back through up to 6 minutes of recent transmissions. Three Smart Keys give one-touch access to instant channels, Triple Watch, squelch, call tone, monitor or the equaliser.

- ✓Records while scanning
- ✓3 programmable Smart Keys

Frequently asked questions
Which whip should I use?
The 1200mm 6.6 dBi whip suits flat, open country and highways. The 725mm 3.0 dBi whip is shorter for tracks and hilly ground. Both whips fit the same base and spring, and the antenna is ground independent.
What's the difference between the XTRAK 80 and XTRAK 80 Pro?
They share the same radio features. The Pro adds Bluetooth: the XTRAK Pro App for location sharing, settings and text messages, and Bluetooth audio to compatible headsets and vehicle speakers.
What phone do I need for the app?
An iOS or Android smartphone with Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The XTRAK Pro App is a free download. Software updates and offline maps download through your phone, so Uniden suggests using WiFi as the files can be large.
Do I need a licence to use it?
UHF CB in Australia is covered by the ACMA Citizen Band Radio Stations Class Licence, and you must follow the conditions in that licence. Uniden notes the radio must only be used in the country of purchase.
Can I talk on all 80 channels?
Most of them. Channels 22 and 23 are for data only, so voice transmission is blocked, and channels 61, 62 and 63 are reserved for future use and are receive only. Channels 5 and 35 are emergency channels.
