Overview
Built for the truck dash
A DIN-size 5W, 80 channel UHF CB made for trucks and heavy vehicles. It slides into a standard DIN slot, and Instant Replay records up to 20 minutes of received calls so you don't miss a message.
The smart mic has a 3-way smart key for Instant Channel, Call and Menu, and sits on a magnetic hanger within easy reach. Speakers in the base and the mic, plus noise reduction and active noise cancellation, keep voices clear in a loud cab. It runs on 12V or 24V and adds 100 user-programmable receive channels and 104 fire channels. Add a Uniden AT840 antenna to finish the install.

The speaker mic has a 3-way smart key for Instant Channel, Call and Menu, so the functions you use most are under your thumb. It clips onto a magnetic hanger, and its 2W speaker works with the base speaker to cut through cab noise.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my truck's dash?
If your truck has a standard DIN slot, yes. The X85 is DIN size and comes with a DIN mount sleeve, removable bracket and screws.
How does Instant Replay work?
It automatically records received signals, up to 20 minutes in 20 slots of up to 60 seconds each. Press the replay key to hear the most recent message again.
Can I listen to fire channels?
Yes. The X85 has 104 fire channels and 100 user-programmable channels (400 to 520MHz). These are receive only; it transmits on UHF CB channels only.
Does it run on 24V?
Yes. It takes 12V to 24V DC. It sounds an alert if the supply goes over about 29V or under about 10.5V.
Do I need a licence?
In Australia, UHF CB use is covered by the ACMA Citizen Band Radio Stations Class Licence, and operation is subject to its conditions. Channels 22 and 23 are data only, and 61 to 63 are reserved and receive only.
