Overview
Tall and short whips in one pack
Uniden's ATX970 Twin gives you a 1200mm 6.6 dBi fibreglass radome antenna and a 702mm 3.0 dBi one in the same heavy duty range. Run the tall whip on open roads and the short one when height matters.
Both antennas use Uniden's 44-55-44mm barrel style stainless steel spring and aluminium ferrule, and both are ground independent. You get 4.5m of low loss coax with an FME female connector and a PL259 adaptor. For a folding mount, add the MBU-05BK bracket.

The ATX970 stands 1200mm when mounted and gives 6.6 dBi of gain. The ATX970S stands 702mm with 3.0 dBi, so it's easier to live with in car parks, garages and tight tracks. Having both in the kit means you aren't stuck with one height.

Built tough
Stainless spring, aluminium ferrule
Uniden's 44-55-44mm barrel style stainless steel spring flexes back from branches and soaks up corrugations. The aluminium ferrule holds the fibreglass radome firm on an 8mm thread.

Fitting
No ground plane needed
Both antennas are ground independent, so they suit bull bars and brackets without a metal ground plane. The 4.5m low loss coax ends in an FME female connector, and a PL259 adaptor is supplied for the radio end.
