Overview
Two whips for open and hilly country
A dual removable fibreglass raydome whip pack in black: a 1200mm 6.6 dBi whip and a 725mm 3.0 dBi whip on one heavy duty stainless steel spring. Swap whips to suit where you're driving.
Run the long 6.6 dBi whip for all round use, and switch to the shorter 3.0 dBi whip for hills, forest or town. The antenna is ground independent, with 4.5m of low loss coax, an FME female connector and a PL259 adaptor. To lay it down when it gets in the way, add the MBU-05BK folding antenna mount.

Uniden says 6 dBi antennas give the best all round performance across suburbs and larger rural towns, while 3 dBi antennas have a wide pattern for city streets, heavy forest and hilly country. This pack gives you both, so you can swap on the day.

Heavy duty stainless spring
Both whips are black fibreglass raydomes that fit a heavy duty barrel style stainless steel spring. Uniden built the AT970BK Twin for heavy use, tough conditions and off road driving.

Fitting
One lead, two whips
The antenna is ground independent, and Uniden says its mounting brackets fit any Uniden antenna. 4.5m of low loss coax runs to the radio with an FME female connector and a PL259 adaptor. The replacement lead is the ATL970.
