Hema Maps has been mapping Australia since 1983, with touring and 4WD maps built from tracks its own teams have driven and GPS-surveyed.

Hema Maps began in 1983, when Henry and Margaret Boegheim started laminating marine charts from their family home in South East Queensland, naming the business after the first two letters of their names. It grew into one of Australia's best known publishers of touring and 4WD maps, and the reason is its field research. Since 1996 the Hema Map Patrol has GPS-mapped more than 700,000 km of tracks and 600,000 km of unsealed roads across the country, so its maps, atlases and outback guides show what is really on the ground. That same data now powers Hema's dedicated off-road GPS navigators, alongside a range of map gifts, dash cams and reverse cameras for touring vehicles.

12 Volt Direct stocks 138 Hema Maps products, including paper maps, atlases, touring guides and books.
