Need more reach? This 5 m lead has a moulded Anderson-style plug on each end, so it plugs straight between your battery and your fridge, solar panel or accessory. It’s our heavy-duty lead: thick 8mm cable carries up to 50A and keeps voltage drop down over the full length, so it suits solar panels, DC-DC chargers and high-draw gear.

Why cable size matters

Every metre of cable loses some voltage, and thin cable loses more. Run a fridge through a long, thin lead and the voltage at the fridge can drop low enough to trip its low-voltage cut-out, or cut the charge your solar panel delivers. Heavier cable keeps the voltage up at the far end, which matters most on longer leads.
